Record-Breaking Snowfall in Massachusetts

Massachusetts residents were digging out from under a record snowfall on Saturday (February 9) after a blizzard blasted through the Northeastern United States on Friday. More than two feet of snow (60.9 cm) fell in the Boston area, with some spots getting as much as 30 inches (76.2 centimeters) and breaking the city's record snowfall of 27.6 inches (70.1cm) in 2003. By Saturday morning, cars were buried under the snow, and snow plows struggled to clear the streets.
