A snowboarder at Keystone Resort in Colorado was ticketed by sheriff's deputies over the weekend for crashing into another snowboarder on the mountain.

Both snowboarders were injured in the Sunday incident.

The sheriff's office said Nathan Scheid ran into another snowboarder, Lorine Miller, cutting Miller's right forearm and bruising her right shin.

Scheid suffered from back pains and was taken down the mountain in a sled and transported to Keystone Medical Center.

Scheid was cited for failing to maintain control of speed and not avoiding a collision with someone who was below him on the slope.
