Upgrade to the new Channel 2 Action News smartphone app

ATLANTA — The new Channel 2 Action News smartphone app launched in early May and previous users will have to download a new version. The new version features improved weather features, a new easy to use layout and design, multiple live streams, instant breaking news alerts and more local news than ever before.

The previous version of the Channel 2 Action News app will no longer work after May 31, 2014.

If you have an Android phone:

1. Go to the Google Play store or click here to download
2. Download the app. Once it is fully downloaded you can delete the previous version. It is no longer active.

If you have an iPhone:

1. If you have automatic updates set to "on" you most likely have already downloaded the latest version.
2. If you do not have automatic updates on go to the App Store or click here to download.
3. In the bottom right click the small Update button.
