Channel 2/WSB-TV Announces Clark Atlanta University Student Scholarship Award

404-897-7447Channel 2, WSB-TV has announced the 2004 recipient for the annual Clark Atlanta University scholarship award. Brandi Cumming of Augusta received this year’s $2,000 scholarship. Brandi, a senior at Clark Atlanta University, has earned a 3.6 grade point average while majoring in Mass Media Arts. She aspires to work in television news as a reporter and producer.
“We are pleased to continue to have a role in the development of young journalists like Brandi and we have confidence that she will become an outstanding professional in the field of broadcasting,” said Greg Stone, Vice President and General Manager for Channel 2.Channel 2 began presenting scholarships in 1993 to deserving Clark Atlanta University students who set high professional standards for themselves in their pursuit of broadcast journalism careers.The Station also provides internships to Clark Atlanta University students. The selected students work with station associates to create and produce public service announcements that highlight the Georgia Lottery Corporation’s contribution to education in Georgia.Channel 2, WSB-TV, and the Georgia Lottery Corporation plan to continue their efforts to make a difference in the future of the Georgia Education System in years to come.
