The Best High School Band In Georgia Is...

None — North Cobb High School.

After 22 million web votes, 500,000 text message votes and judging by the Atlanta Braves Game Entertainment Staff, the Kennesaw high school won wsbtv.com's Best High School Band Contest.

Wsbtv.com kicked off the Best High School Band contest in November. It featured 64 bands that battled through a March Madness style bracket.

Web and text voting determined the final four bands. The finalists were North Cobb, Wheeler, Apalachee and Cherokee High Schools. Atlanta Braves staff members selected the winner from the four finalists after viewing performance videos from each school.

North Cobb High School wins the title and the opportunity to play at Turner Field later this year before an Atlanta Braves baseball game.

Wsbtv.com would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that was involved in the contest. From the band directors, to the bands, to the schools and the communities that support them, we do greatly appreciate the involvement from everyone. Unfortunately, all four teams couldn't win, but we do appreciate all the teams taking part.

Congratulations to the North Cobb High School Band.
