In July, Channel 2 WSB-TV and PlayON! Sports announced a new partnership to broadcast live high school football games to fans all over north Georgia. The 15-week schedule features premiere matchups from the area's biggest games and will air on Channel 2's second digital channel, RTV at 7:30 p.m. and replay at 1 a.m. on Channel 2.

"We're thrilled to work with PlayON! Sports and add another element of coverage to our Sports Zone franchise," said Bill Hoffman, vice president and general manager for Channel 2 WSB-TV. "Our second digital channel, Channel 2.2 RTV, gives us the opportunity to broadcast local games in their entirety. Plus, we run the game again starting at 1 a.m. each Friday night on Channel 2."

"The opportunity to partner with Channel 2, the leading broadcast station in the Southeast, is tremendous for both PlayON and the GHSA Network. The GHSA Network provides multi-platform coverage of Georgia high school sports to the local community, and we look forward to bringing live high school sports to Channel 2's viewers each week this fall," said David Rudolph, CEO, PlayON! Sports.
