Former UGA recruit no longer on Peachtree Ridge football team

Former University of Georgia recruit Nick Glass and linebacker Dru Moody are no longer on the football team at Peachtree Ridge.

The two have not played in the past two games for Peachtree Ridge, which is 5-0 and ranked No. 5 in Class AAAAAA. Peachtree Ridge coach Mark Fleetwood declined to comment on the reasons but confirmed Thursday that the players and team have parted ways.

Glass, generally rated as a three-star recruit, committed to Georgia as a sophomore but announced on Aug. 15 that he was re-opening his recruitment. Glass played last season at St. Pius but left the school before St. Pius played in the Class AAA championship game against Buford.

Glass had four tackles and an interception, which he returned for a touchdown, in two games for Peachtree Ridge. Glass is being recruited by Miami, Ole Miss and others, according to 247Sports.

Moody was leading Peachtree Ridge in solo tackles with 19 through three games. Moody has reported scholarship offers from Jacksonville State and Georgia State.

Peachtree Ridge plays at Collins Hill in a Region 7 game between unbeaten teams on Friday.
