Georgia vs. Oklahoma: Who wins in recruiting?

College football’s inaugural early signing period begins Wednesday for the Class of 2018.

Looking back at the most recent recruiting classes, the Georgia Bulldogs hold a blue-chip advantage over the Oklahoma Sooners in the Jan. 1 Rose Bowl College Football Playoff semifinal.

Georgia has the most five-stars of any team in the playoff, including Southeastern Conference rival Alabama (which faces Clemson in the other semifinal game at the Sugar Bowl).

Georgia, which has had a an average recruiting class rank in the Top 7 nationally over the last four years, has seven five-star recruits on their roster.

The Sooners count just one five-star recruit and list 39 four-star players.

Oklahoma’s recruiting classes have been in the Top 15 on average the last four years.
