Georgia looks to join elusive 11-win club

ATHENS, Ga. — A win over Georgia Tech on Saturday would make the 2017 Bulldogs one of the best teams in school history.

UGA sits at 10-1. If it claims an 11th win, it would be just the third time in program history that a team won 11 games in the regular season and the 10th time they've won 11 games overall.

The Georgia vs. Georgia Tech game will be televised LIVE on Channel 2 and broadcast on radio by WSB 750 AM and 95.5 FM. The game can also be heard on 680 AM and 93.7 FM.

It was last done in 2012, when UGA won the East and finished with 12 wins overall.

The Bulldogs’ championship season concluded with a 12-0 record. If these Bulldogs were to win against the Yellow Jackets and in the SEC championship, they’d equal a school-best 13 wins, a record that was set in 2002.

Georgia has won the last eight games in Atlanta against Georgia Tech, including a 13-7 battle in 2015.

Georgia Tech also has a lot riding on the game. With a victory over their in-state rival, the Yellow Jackets will become bowl eligible.

Should GT pull the upset, they'll also cap off an undefeated home season.
