ATLANTA — The Mike Budenholzer era in Atlanta has come to an end.

Channel 2 Sports Director Zach Klein has confirmed that the Hawks and Budenholzer have agreed to part ways.

Budenholzer coached the Hawks from 2013-2018.

He had a 213-197 record in the regular season, and led the team to the playoffs in every season except 2017-18.

His career record in the playoffs was 17-22, including a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2014-15.

The Hawks sent a statement out late Wednesday night saying:

"The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club and Mike Budenholzer have mutually agreed to part ways, it was announced today.

"Budenholzer was named Hawks head coach on May 28, 2013. In his five seasons with Atlanta, he compiled a record of 213-197 (.520) during the regular season and 17-22 (.436) during the postseason."
