The Denver Nuggets signed guard DerMarr Johnson on Monday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Johnson, 6'9", appeared in 21 games for the Knicks last season, averaging 5.4 points and 1.9 rebounds. In September 2002, he suffered serious injuries in a car accident and missed the entire '02-03 season.

Johnson, who played only one year at the University of Cincinnati, was a first-round draft pick (sixth overall) by Atlanta in 2000 and played two seasons for the Hawks.
