Former Ga. Tech Player Turns Himself In

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Former Georgia Tech Football player Reuben Houston faces charges including terroristic threats and aggravated assault.Houston surrendered to the Cobb county jail Friday afternoon, attorney Manny Arora said, on outstanding warrants for terroristic threats, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon."There are allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior towards his daughter, by another adult. There was a confrontation but there were no weapons involved," Arora said.Arora said the warrants go back to September, but that Houston said he learned of the charges from a relative who saw publicity about them last week."I was just as surprised as everyone else when I saw this on tv. I had no idea that this was the situation going on," Houston said."There's already a bond that's worked out. I hope his family has a means to post it, if not we'll ask for a reduction hopefully next week," Arora said.Houston had previous legal trouble while he was in college. Houston pled guilty to a reduced charge of drug conspiracy and received nine months probation, according to Arora.Houston was able to stay in college and received his management degree from Georgia Tech.Houston gained fame as a defensive back with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team from 2002 to 2005.
