Spencer Heats Up Late To Help Liberty Down Sky

Chicago, IL -- (Sports Network) - Sidney Spencer knocked down four of her five three-pointers in the fourth quarter to help erase an eight-point deficit going into the final frame, as New York logged a 77-70 comeback win over Chicago.Cathrine Kraayeveld chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds, while Shameka Christon donated 11 points to the cause. The Liberty won for the third time in four games. Sylvia Fowles paced the hosts with 15 points and nine boards, while Jia Perkins and Erin Thorn scored 14 apiece. Candice Dupree brought down a game- high 11 rebounds with nine points for the Sky, who had won two of three coming in. Chicago led by five, 33-28, at halftime and extended its lead to 12 with five minutes to play in the third on a Fowles free throw. New York narrowed the gap on a Christon three-ball and two buckets by Janel McCarville before the Sky finished out the quarter by scoring the final four points for a 56-48 lead heading to the fourth.
