Monday, June 16, 2008 – updated: 12:14 pm EDT June 16, 2008

Atlanta Falcons reserve safety Daren Stone was arrested early Sunday on a drunken driving charge.

Police said the second-year player was taken into custody around 3:35a.m.

A spokesperson for Atlanta Municipal Court says Stone was cited for DUI and failure to maintain his lane. The incident occurred at the intersection of Andrew Young and Courtland Streets, the spokesperson said.

Stone posted bond Sunday totaling more than $1,100, according to officials with the Atlanta City Jail.

Stone was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2007 NFL Draft in the sixth round.

The 6-foot-3 inch Jamaican native attended the University of Maine.

Stone must now go before a judge.
