Georgia's Forgotten Children: Beating The Odds

Thursday, September 14, 2006 – updated: 6:45 pm EST November 6, 2006

Channel 2 anchor John Pruitt examined the experiences of foster children and former foster children in a special broadcast. The show is called "Georgia's Forgotten Children: Beating the Odds". It's part of the station's effort to bring more awareness about the needs of foster children and changes in the foster care system.

In the show, three people were profiled who stayed in the foster care system at least four years. The audience not only heard their troubling and inspiring experiences, but also the people who they say helped turn their life around.
