ATLANTA -- Eight days and counting until election day and voters who are trying to cast their ballots early may find some relief at local election offices. Advance voting begins Monday and that means local counties are opening up new polling locations.Close to a million Georgia voters have already cast their ballots having taken advantage of the early voting option. But some voters, like Mark Miller and Debbie Cohen, tried early voting and the lines were just too long."Probably about 250 people, it was at least an hour so it was huge, huge," said Cohen, a DeKalb County voter."I tried to early vote, it was really backed up, so I hope to early vote, I think I still can this coming week," said Miller.COUNTY-BY-COUNTY: Advance, Early Voting Sites FULL LIST: Advance, Early Voting Sites For Every County In Georgia Miller is right. Beginning Monday, he and other Georgia voters have the option of advance voting. The main difference between advance voting and early voting is that elections officials open more polling places during advance voting and many of those will stay open until 7 p.m."I'm hoping that the line might not be that long for me," said Jameson Boyd, a Henry County voter. But there are those who look forward to the crush of the crowds and the excitement of voting on Nov. 4. "I just want to do it on the day that everyone else is going to be there and that's just the set day. I'm looking forward to it," said Walter Green, a Henry County voter.
