GET INVOLVED: Ask Gwinnett Candidates Your Questions

"Tip" O'Neill, the longtime Speaker of the House in the U.S. Congress, once declared, "All politics is local."

This month you have a chance to get involved in politics on the most local level.

  • SUBMIT: Your Questions For Candidates
  • The candidates for the chairman of the Gwinnett County Commision and the District One seat will be holding a forum on May 7 and they want you to submit questions. They also want to know what you think is the most pressing issue facing Gwinnett County.

    Sponsored by the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District, the forum will be held at Meadowcreek High School at 4455 Steve Reynolds Blvd. from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

    Rachel Kim, Gwinnett County bureau chief for WSB-TV Channel 2, will be the forum moderator.

    Charles Bannister, Lorraine Green and Glenn Pirckle, the candidates for chairman of the commission will attend. The candidates for the District 1 seat, Shirley Fanning Lasseter, Bruce LeVell and Carol Hassell, also will participate.
