Cheney Knows Some Call Him Darth Vader

Posted: 11:23 am EDT October 25, 2006

Vice President Dick Cheney knows some people think of him as a villain.

"Of course, I have my view, and people will say, 'Well, that's just Cheney. He's the Darth Vader of the administration, always taking the dark view,'" Cheney said while speaking on the "Hannity and Colmes" show on Fox News Channel.

There are many parodies online where people do compare Cheney to Darth Vader.

Cheney also discussed the bloodshed terrorists could cause if they used a nuclear, biological or other dangerous weapon on an American city.

He said the threat is very real and efforts are needed to make certain that the United States isn't struck again.

He trumpeted President George W. Bush's national security policy, and said that policy could be in jeopardy if Democrats take control of Congress.
