SMYRNA — A winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million from the Dec. 27 drawing was sold in Smyrna. Kroger #0451, located at 4715 S. Atlanta Road S.E., is the store that sold the ticket that matched the first five winning numbers.

A winner has yet to come forward to claim the prize. Winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.

Another winning ticket worth $5,000 was sold in Acworth from Friday’s drawing.

Winning numbers from the Dec. 27 Mega Millions drawing were: 4-15-35-48-49 and the Mega Ball was 11.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is at an estimated $47 million to a single annuity winner.

It only takes $1 to play Mega Millions for a chance to win big. Players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option for an additional $1 per play.

As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
