Winning Fantasy 5 ticket worth $250K sold in Athens

ATLANTA — One of three jackpot winning Fantasy 5 tickets worth $250,629 was sold in Athens. Kroger #0435, located at 1720 Epps Bridge Parkway, sold a winning ticket that matched all five numbers from the Aug. 10 drawing.

The winner, James Moore of Bogart, claimed his prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth.

The other winning tickets worth $250,629 were sold in Clayton and Dallas.

Winning numbers from the Aug. 10 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 4-5-20-23-34.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
