Turkey Demo Turns Violent

Local people help clear up in the aftermath of a protest in south-eastern Turkey in which at least one person was killed. Turkish security forces shot dead an 18-year-old man and wounded ten others when they opened fire on the demonstrators, according to a lawmaker in the Kurdish-dominated region. The protest in a village in Diyarbakir province was over the construction of a replacement police outpost. Some of the protesters hurled petrol bombs.
