KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two armed men were detained after trying to walk into a Missouri Walmart to buy ammunition for target practice, police said.
Missouri is an open-carry state and the Walmart store does not have a sign banning customers from taking firearms into it, WDAF reported.
The men were detained by police around 12:22 p.m., KCTV reported.
They were released shortly afterward. Investigators said the men did not break any laws.
"It makes me a little nervous given the fact that they had all these Walmart shootings, and I think people are starting to take it as a joke," shopper Marya Smith told WDAF.
