In a year of countless political poll questions, one question stands out.
So do the results.
Public Policy Polling, a left-leaning organization according to The Hill, conducted a June 27-28 survey of 853 registered voters. In addition to more traditional polling questions, PPP asked the following: "If the choices for president were Democrat Hillary Clinton, Republican Donald Trump, and a giant meteor hitting the earth which would you choose?"
In response, 13 percent said they would prefer the meteor.
Clinton fav 39/54, Trump's 35/58. So we polled the Giant Meteor. And it got 13%. Clinton 43, Trump 38, @smod2016 13: https://t.co/lDi0IFEPEo

The question wasn’t totally off the wall. There is a meteor meme that has been circulating on social media and has popped up on bumper stickers and yard signs during this unusual election season. It reads, “Giant Meteor 2016: Just End It Already.”
