Kenny Baker, R2-D2 actor, dies at 83

Kenny Baker, the British actor who rose to fame as R2-D2 in the "Star Wars" film franchise, has died according to The Guardian. He was 83.

In addition to the role as the famous robot, Baker also had roles in "The Goonies," "Time Bandits" and "Flash Gordon."

The Guardian reports that Baker had been in poor health for quite some time before his death.
