Curvy bride-to-be hits back at body-shamers

ACCRA, Ghana — Mzznaki Tetteh is a soon to be bride from Ghana.

She and her fiance, Kojo Prince, were happy to share engagement photos on social media ahead of their upcoming nuptials.

But neither expected such a big reaction on the internet and across the world.

"I normally post pictures of me and my girlfriend all the time, and I wasn't expecting this at all. I just posted it. We did a photoshoot and I thought it was nice, so I posted it (on Facebook)," Prince told GhanaWeb Wednesday. "To me, I have always been a fan of plus size women and I am so proud of my woman, and I don't care about what anybody says out there."

Tetteh posted those same photos on her Instagram page and gained tens of thousands of followers.

Although some of the reactionwas harsh and critical, Tetteh took it in stride, posting a solo shot with the caption, "Still confident...your rubbish comments ain't ruining my happiness...thanks to all for the compliments and best wishes...am honoured."

Today.com reported the two will be married June 25.
