Friday

Celebrate the start of summer at the Ponce de Leon Beach with 60 tons of sand, a kids’ board walk, games, live music, dancing, food, cold beverages and guaranteed great times for all ages!

Saturday

Experience the music of U2 performed by an orchestra, amplified with a full rock band and vocals in cozy Chastain Park.  Guest Conductor Brent Havens and Vocalist Brody Dolyniuk celebrate U2’s greatest hits like you’ve never seen them before.  This show is a MUST for U2 fans.  Tickets start at $19.

The Atlanta Summer Beer Fest features over 150 beers from both local Atlanta breweries and great breweries from around the country.  There will be fun attractions including games, live music, and a dance party.

More than 100 craft beer vendors from around the US will line streets of downtown Alpharetta for a huge street party with live music.  Food will be available for purchase from Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub.  The “World’s Hoppiest Road Race” 5k starts at 8p at the Corner Deli.

This festival is fun for the whole family with live entertainment, food, carnival games, kids’ activities, vendor shopping, a magic show, and more!  There’s something for everyone and admission is FREE.  This festival was started by Lift Up Atlanta, an organization that helps provide homeless women and children with safe housing, food, clothing, and other needs to help them meet their basic needs, support their education, and empower them to reach self-sufficiency.

Get out and get active at the Atlanta Green Fest where you can learn more about healthy, eco-friendly lifestyles.  This year’s event includes live performances, interactive fitness demonstrations, small business street market, free health screenings, community outreach and education, Story Corner by Fulton County Libraries, and a creative kids’ zone.

This festival celebrates everything great about Athens.  Held in downtown Athens, the festival features 100 musical acts, an artist’s market, local films, and a club crawl.  Also part of AthFest is Kids Fest, which includes kid-friendly bands, arts and crafts, and more!   The festival is produced by local non-profit AthFest Educates, which has contributed more than $125,000 to music and arts education programs for Athens-Clarke County children.

This event debuts this year at the Atlanta Marriott Century Center with more than 100 arcade and pinball machines, a vendor expo, exciting programs and guest speakers, movie screenings, a Saturday Pin Swap and more.  Tickets range between $15-20 for adults and $10 for kids.

This summer anime convention celebrates Japanese animation, comics, and culture with celebrity guests, panels, vendors, and workshops.

Sunday

Step back in history and hear tales of those interred in the Marietta City and Confederate cemeteries, as portrayed by actual descendants.  The tour is part of Marietta's commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War and the "Sherman at the Gates" weekend.
