Friday

These two bands boast over 200 million album sales!  See them live in concert at Aaron’s Amphitheater at Lakewood.

Did you miss the Jimmy Buffett concert at Chastain Park back in May?  Well, you can see the best Jimmy Buffett tribute band at the newly opened Newtown Park Amphitheater in Alpharetta!  The concert is free, and doors open at 6pm.  Food and non-alcoholic may be brought in, but contracted vendors will provide a variety of catered food and beverages including beer and wine.   Seating is first come, first serve.  Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome.

Southeast Crab Fest and Red Brick Brewery bring you this family-friendly event that will offer you All-You-Can-Eat fresh out of the ocean Charleston Blue Crabs, Low Country Boil, Red Brick Specialty beer, music, games, vendors, and fun!

 Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival

This year, more than 40 of the South’s top chefs along with 17 skilled mixologists and over 30 farmers are teaming up to create tasty tomato concoctions to raise money for Georgia Organics and The Giving Kitchen.  Due to the growth and popularity of the event, it has outgrown its home of five years, JCT. Kitchen & Bar and will be held at the Goat Farms Art Center.

Scrap bookers will find classes, vendors, and crop parties at the Scrapbook Expo at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth.  The expo combines scrapbooking, paper crafting, and stamping and offers crafters the most amazing crafting experience!

See 170 horses compete - in addition to vendors and entertainers - at the Willis Park Equestrian Center in Alpharetta.  Last year, the show brought in over $12,000 that was donated to Hall County’s Gateway Domestic Violence Center, Forsyth’s County’s Family Haven, and Dawson and Lumpkin County’s No One Alone Shelter.  The goal this year is to raise $25,000!

The BB&T Atlanta Open is the first men’s event in the Emirates Airline US Open Series.  The tournament runs July 19-27 at Atlantic Station.

Experience the excitement and nostalgia of the 64th annual Georgia Mountain Fair at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds this year!  Musical guests include Aaron Tippin, Joe Diffie, the Bellamy Brothers, Mel Tillis and more!  There are also arts and crafts, carnival rides, unique attractions, and rich history and culture.  General admission is $12.  Children 12 and under and parking is FREE.  There's also a trolley available and scooter rental.

National Black Arts Festival (through Sept. 27)

This festival showcases performing arts, literature, and visual arts produced by African Americans.  Some events are FREE!

This tour is a “punk rock summer camp” on wheels where music, athletes, and lifestyles co-mingle and thrive in an atmosphere dedicated to music fans of punk, alternative, hip-hop, ska, pop punk, electronica, alternative rock, hardcore and more.  It’s the longest running festival concert tour and reaches more than 600,000 kids every summer.  Warped introduced artists/bands No Doubt, Blink 182, Papa Roach, Eminem, & Fall Out Boy among hundreds of others.
