CUMMING, Ga.,None - Four people, including one employee, were in custody Monday in connection with the shooting death of a security guard inside a local grocery store.

The shooting happened at the Ingles store on Canton Road in Forsyth County just before midnight Sunday.

Police said a group of robbers with their faces covered held up the Ingles and killed a guard.

Four People Arrested In Shooting Death Of Ingles Security Guard

"We had two employees still at the store and had a third employee, who's a security guard, deceased at the scene," said Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton.

Paxton told Channel 2 Action News reporter Richard Elliot Monday afternoon that the Sheriff's Office has taken four people into custody. One of the four worked at the Ingles and was in the store at the time of the robbery.

"We did start expecting there very possibly could be some inside help to this particular robbery given the fact that the store was already closed but yet the back door, the bay door was mysteriously unlocked with the bar having been taken off the door," said Paxton.

Paxton said all four will be charged with murder and aggravated assault. He said the group is part of a robbing crew wanted in both Forsyth and Gwinnett counties. Paxton said they expect to make more arrests.

The deceased guard was identified as David Casto, 37, of Winder. Casto was employed by Executive Security Services of Atlanta.

Paxton said two weeks ago, there were two other similar robberies – one at a Waffle House and the other at a convenience store. Based on those robberies, Paxton said authorities thought the robbers would become increasingly violent.

"We had some concern. This was a fear of ours," said Paxton.
