G eorgia and Georgia Tech at the Georgia Dome in 2011? It’s a strong possibility according to WSB-TV sports director Chuck Dowdle. Multiple sources tell him it could go down and I think it would be outstanding. The 2009 Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic between Alabama and Virginia Tech was amazing and the crowd was absolutely electric. A match-up of nationally ranked teams on national television would give both programs great exposure. Can you imagine the entire off-season of trash talking build up?
I f Josh Nesbitt continues to thrown the deep ball like he did the other night against Mississippi State, the Tech offense become that much more difficult to stop. He threw the ball for a career high 266-yards in a victory over the Bulldogs. That comes one week after he set a career high for carries in a game with 32 in a victory over North Carolina.
O ne play does not usually decide a game, but that call on Georgia wide receiver AJ Green was a joke. Just over a minute to play, the Bulldogs had just taken the lead over the #4 team in the country and the ref wants him to act like he’s in Church on a Sunday? Come on. Football is all about emotion and yes, there is a fine line between “excessive celebrating”, “taunting” and “showing up the other team”. Green celebrated, as he should have. To call a penalty and have the Bulldogs kick from their own 15-yard line was the difference in the game.
T his Bulldog fan scares me
Z likes Tech over Bowden’s bunch by 7, ‘Dogs by 10 and the Falcons by 5.
