The Gators open their season September 3, at home against Florida Atlantic. However, Muschamp says, "Honestly, I've had a hard time looking ahead. We've had so much on our plate from installation on both sides of the ball, special teams, managing our team....offseason programs, spring practice, and recruiting every day. We certainly look forward to the opener. It'll be over 90,000 in the Swamp....the best place to play college football."

Channel 2's Anthony Amey interviewed University of Florida Head Football Coach Will Muschamp. Muschamp, a former Georgia Bulldog, is about to start his first season as coach of the Gators.

A dig at his alma mater? Perhaps. But that was nothing compared to his response after I asked him how he planned on continuing Florida's dominance of UGA in their series (the Gators have won 18 of the last 21 meetings): "It's great to play in the Gator Bowl. It's named after the Gators....we need to play well there."

A noticeable smirk was present as Muschamp said this. Game on...and more proof that college football season truly runs 365 days a year in the Deep South. FYI, UGA-Florida's next matchup is October 29 in Jacksonville.
