ATLANTA, Ga. —
The Parkview High School Band won wsbtv.com's "Best High School Band" Tournament last football season. The prize for winning was a chance to play on the field at Turner Field before a Major League Baseball game.
"It was tremendous," Parkview Drum Major Jon Benkeon said after the performance. "You can't really describe it. It was the best feeling in the world. It was just awesome. It was a great honor to be named the best in the state."

"It's like a coincidence," assistant band director Jason Atha said. "We told the kids in the Fall, 'We're doing a baseball show during the football season, it will work out.' And then, come to find out, we win this contest, and here we are at Turner Field playing a baseball show."

"We're walking out of the tunnel, you could see as we went out, them looking around and like, 'Wow, I'm actually on Turner Field,'" Parkview Band Director Richard Magner said.
