When Southwest DeKalb wins, the Panthers dominate. They won the Sports Zone Thursday Night Game of the Week, dismantling Dunwoody, 24-7.
The Panthers scored the first 17 points of the game, en route to their 4th win in the last 5 outings. In those four victories, Southwest DeKalb has outscored its opponents by a combined score of 141-7.
Thursday night, the Panthers opened the scoring with a touchdown run by Toran Davis near the end of the first quarter, and they led 10-0 at halftime.
The lead swelled to 17-0 before Dunwoody’s Justin King scored on a quarterback sneak to pull the Wildcats within ten points at 17-7. But Corey Thomas’ 10-yard TD run with just over 2:00 left sealed the victory for the Panthers, who improve to 4-2 on the season.
