Spielberg and Katsuhiro Otmo Fested at the Annies


The Annie Awards held its annual ceremony in Los Angeles on February 1st to celebrate the best of the year's animations in TV, film and game. The evening also honours icons of the industry with Winsor McCay awards. Japanese animator Katsuhiro Otomo was one of the recipients. He made manga, the Japanese style of animation, known to the world's audiences after the release and success of his 1988 dystopian sci-film "Akira".
