Channel 2 Action News Investigates

ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News spent months digging into big local stories and now those investigations are coming to primetime. This one hour program, hosted by Channel 2 Action News anchors Justin Farmer and Jovita Moore, exposes stories that impact Georgia families and taxpayers.

“Local animal owners complain pet treats imported from China killed their dogs,” said Farmer. “Consumer investigator Jim Strickland dug into the mystery illness and why the treats are still being sold in Georgia, even though the FDA has known about the problem for five years.”

“Plus, there are so many boarded up and burned out houses in local neighborhoods,” said Moore. “Channel 2 Action News sent investigative reporter Jodie Fleischer to track down the owners and found there are none. See the big impact thousands of abandoned houses have on Georgians and the challenges that keep cities from cleaning them up.”

“Channel 2 Action News investigative reporter Aaron Diamant uncovers some MARTA cops and bus drivers making six figures,” said Farmer. “Diamant spent weeks going through the records and found some MARTA employees doubled their salary. We reveal the big reason MARTA says its employees are paid so much money.”

Channel 2 Action News Investigates also exposes a crackdown on college kids arrested for underage drinking. Investigative reporter Richard Belcher digs into the hardline policy that leaves students with a criminal record. Erin Coleman, Channel 2's 4 p.m. anchor, reveals why car thieves in Georgia get out of jail again and again and how it hits Georgians in the wallet. Viewers are invited to join the conversation on Facebook and Twitter before the show.
