Restaurant Hostess Attacked With Box Cutter

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — A hostess who said she was attacked while leaving an Alpharetta restaurant spoke to Channel 2 Action News reporter Erin Coleman about the frightening ordeal.

The 22-year-old does not speak English and used an interpreter. The hostess said her attacker came out of nowhere and started yelling obscenities, and grabbed her from behind.

"She was walking to her car parked in the back of the building," the interpreter said. "He was trying to turn her around and he hit her in the face. She hit him back."

The interpreter said that's when the attacker really got mad.

"She looked down and she was bleeding … he had stabbed her with a box cutter," the interpreter said.

Police have since released a sketch of the man they believe is responsible for the June 9 attack on Crabapple Road. Police said the incident is of special concern because it happened in broad daylight at 5:30 p.m. behind a strip mall.
