White House calls postage stamps unsafe

WASHINGTON — A series of  U.S. postage stamps may never be used because White House officials have deemed them unsafe.

The stamps show children participating in a variety of physical activities. The "Just Move" stamps are designed to promote first lady Micelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign.

Officials from the President's Council on Fitness decided at least three of the 15 stamps should not be issued.

They include a child doing a cannonball into a pool, a child doing a handstand and a skateboarder.

The stamp snafu leaves the financially struggling postal service with stacks of stamps.
