Police On Lookout For Man Who Flashed Jogger

JOHNS CREEK, Ga.,None — Johns Creek police are on the lookout for a flasher who they said has struck at least twice this month.

Laurie Casanas told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik that she was jogging along Morton Road near the intersection of Plantation Drive on Tuesday when a man exposed himself to her.

“He pulled down his pants enough for me to see everything, more than I wanted to see,” she said.

Casanas told Petchenik that she wanted to Mace the man, but that her instincts told her to keep running.

“I didn’t know what to think,” she said. “I ran away as fast as I could and pretended I had my phone on me, which I didn’t at the time. I screamed at him and told him I was calling the cops.”

According to police reports obtained by Petchenik, a man matching the description of Casana’s flasher was spotted near the intersection of Morton Road and Donamere Drive on June 8. In that incident, two women reported hearing moaning from behind a utility box, and found the man engaged in a sex act on himself.

In both cases, the reports indicate the suspect was a black male in his mid-20s or early 30s. Victims described him as being about 6 feet tall, between 200 and 250 pounds, with a medium complexion. In one case, he was seen wearing a gray shirt and black shorts. In another, he was wearing a gray shirt and black shorts.

“It’s sick. It’s sad,” said Casanas. “Too bad some people can’t just exercise or run without being assaulted by somebody like that.”
