Police: Man Rapes Woman Walking Down Street

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are looking for the man they say sexually assaulted a woman walking down the street.

The incident happened along Athens Avenue SW on April 25. The victim told police she was walking to the store when a light blue Chrysler 300 drove up next to her and stopped.

She said a man then got out of the car and forced her inside.

The victim told police that's when the man forced himself on her. The victim said she started punching the man and was able get away.

Police said the man bit the victim on the neck at some point during the attack.

Investigators have released a sketch of the man they are looking for.

Detectives describe the suspect as a black man, 35-years-old, 5 feet 9 inches, low haircut, average build and muscular. Police said he has a gap between his top front teeth and bumps all over his face.
