Police Looking For Lexus In Deadly Hit And Run

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga — The Sandy Springs Police Department was looking for a car involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident.

The crash happened on June 25 in the 4600 block of Roswell Road, according to Detective D. Noble. A late model Lexus LS left the road and struck and killed a person walking on the sidewalk, according to police.

Police believed the car was a 2007, 2008 or 2009 Lexus LS 460 sedan that was gray or black. Police told Channel 2 Action News the car would likely have damage to the right front headlight or the right front fender. They provided a picture of a similar looking car.

Sandy Springs police said they asked other jurisdictions to check their report systems for any accident reports involving that type of vehicle.
