DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. —
A woman was sentenced Wednesday to a year in jail for starving her puppy to death.
Investigators said Renalda Telesford put a muzzle on her Yorkshire Terrier and locked it in a bathroom.
They said she left a bowl of food just outside the bathroom and then abandoned her apartment.
The puppy's body was found ten days later.
