Who Is Elizabeth Dewberry?

Elizabeth Dewberry was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama.

She holds a Ph.D. in 20th-century American literature from Emory University and a bachelor's degree in English from Vanderbilt University.

Dewberry is the author of four novels: "Many Things Have Happened Since He Died," "Break the Heart of Me," "Sacrament of Lies" and "His Lovely Wife." She has also written five plays.

She lives in Tallahassee, Florida where she is playwright-in-residence at Florida State University.
