The NAACP Hollywood Bureau helped both sides reach an agreement.
Perry said he's happy with the deal and looks forward to working with the writers who are part of the guild.
Things haven't always been this cozy between the two sides.
Recently, when Perry opened a multimillion-dollar studio complex in Atlanta, the event was protested by members of the guild who were dissatisfied at the state of the contract talks at the time.
