EAST POINT, Ga. —

Rachel Fried said a tree came crashing through her bedroom ceiling Sunday morning, causing serious damage.

"It was four o'clock in the morning and I heard a tremendous crash. I jumped up out of bed and the next thing I knew, the ceiling was falling in on me," said Fried.

Fried told Channel 2 Action News that she has been unemployed for a year, and can't afford the repairs.

"Everybody's saying 'Call your insurance company. Well I'm sorry ... I don't have an insurance company because I don't have the money. I can't find a job,'" said Fried.

Fried said the fallen tree belongs to a neighbor. "I'm trying to contact the person that's responsible for the tree and they're trying to run away from me and not do anything about it," said Fried.

"I have no way to do anything about it except just move out and leave," said Fried.
