GRAYSON —

The teenage driver of a minivan that collided with a tree last week in Gwinnett County and killed two other teen passengers died Tuesday from her injuries.

Lindsay Groff, 16, was driving the van when it lost control and struck a tree Thursday.

The crash also killed Susan Boyes, 16, and Mallory Neely, 15. The crash occurred a few blocks from Grayson High School, where all three girls attended.

Groff had been hospitalized in critical condition since the crash. She was driving with only a learner's permit, which is illegal in Georgia without someone over 21 in the car.

The high school planned to have counselors available Wednesday for grieving students
