Texas Man Charged In Fatal I-285 Accident

ATLANTA —

A Texas man has been charged in connection with a fatal accident on Interstate 285, officials said.

Joseph Golden, 43, is accused of crossing over the fog line and striking a minivan that was parked in the emergency lane, officials said.

Golden was driving a tractor-trailer at the time of the June 28 crash near Riverside Drive.

Rosario Velez, 44, of Sandy Springs, was killed in the crash.

Golden is charged with a lane violation and second degree vehicular homicide. He was being held at the Fulton County Jail a $5,500 bond.
