DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. —
Channel 2 Action News reporter Tom Jones said a jury found Nathan Grigsby not guilty of five counts of contributing to the deprivation of a minor.
The jury deliberated for about an hour Tuesday night and again Wednesday after spending two days listening to testimony and watching a video of the performance.
On Tuesday, Nathan Grigsby took the stand in his own defense, saying he was helping another student for the majority of the performance and had his back turned away. Grigsby said he stopped the sexually explicit dance as soon as he noticed it.
Prosecutors argued Grigsby watched the performance and even clapped and smiled at what was going on.
The three students in the video also face charges in connection with the dance routine. They are charged with public indecency and disrupting a public school.
