PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. —

Officials in Paulding County said a 16-year-old North Paulding High School student has been charged after he allegedly made threats against students on Facebook.

Authorities said the North Paulding High School student was found off campus.

Police said the teenager was brought to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office voluntarily, where he was being questioned by investigators.

Brandon Gurley with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office said the student was charged with three felony counts of terroristic threats, one count of disruption of a public school and one count of unruly juvenile.

The teen is in custody and will be held in the youth detention center pending a detention hearing scheduled for Monday, officials said.

The investigation continues.
