Stray Bullet Kills Man Standing In Kitchen

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. —

A Gwinnett County man was killed by celebratory gunfire, just as his family enjoyed a neighbor's fireworks display.

Officers said they were called to a home on Worchester Place in Norcross just after midnight Saturday to find a man lying dead on the kitchen floor from a gunshot wound.

Gwinnett County police told Channel 2 Action News that they have arrested Ervin Turner, 62, and Jesse Foster, 20, and charged each of them with involuntary manslaughter in the case.

Police identified the victim as Sergio Martinez, 34.

The victim's family told Bojorquez that they were looking at a neighbor's fireworks display just before the shooting happened.
