Rapper Soulja Boy Pleads No Contest To Charges

Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez, pleaded no contest this week to obstruction of an officer.

That means he did not admit guilt, but also did not fight the charges.

It was incorrectly reported on wsbtv.com and Channel 2 Action News that he pleaded guilty and admitted to the charges.

A Henry County judge sentenced him to probation, but the probation was terminated when he paid a $1,000 fine.
