ATLANTA —
Two men were found stealing presents from a local nonprofit agency Sunday morning, Atlanta police said.
According to police, an employee at Hosea Feed the Hungry, located on Donnelly Avenue Southwest, called to report the burglary around 10:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, the employee told them he could hear the thieves inside the building near a hole that was cut in the door. Bags of toys were sitting outside the door.
Police said officers saw Navada Jackson, 32, trying to shove a bag of toys out of the building and later located Desmond Sigers, 28, hiding inside the building.
Both men were charged with burglary, and Jackson was also charged with giving a false name to police.
The toys were intended to be distributed to needy children though out the city.
